Langtang RI Trekking and Expedition was licensed in 1991 by the Government of Nepal, Department of Tourism. We are one of the leading trekking & expedition agencies in Nepal, 60% of our business is repeat or recommended we offer a highly professional and honest service at great value for money by the most sustainable method possible.

We specialize in exploring off the beaten path whether you travel alone or in a group, perhaps you are looking for a trek away from the main tourist trails, a chance to learn from and experience life in village communities, go in search of the ultimate adrenaline rush such as canyoning, bungee jumping, mountain biking, white water rafting, climbing perhaps you are interested in botany and the beautiful flowers, the Himalayas are so famous for, others may wish to go in search of the illusive Bengal tiger. We are here to help offering a multitude of tours and services throughout Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and Sikkim.

Based in central Thamel, Kathmandu, we have a small and friendly team each with a minimum of 5 years experience working with clients. Our primary aim is to ensure you get the most out of your time travelling with us, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions at all. Our guides and porters are looked after to the highest standard, they are well paid, equipped appropriately for the environment in which they will be working and all are insured throughout the year. We have regular training sessions run by European Climbing Mountain professionals to ensure we are providing the highest standards. We arrange set departures tours and tailor-made trips, both fully organised or self guided/independent tours, it is your choice we are here to do what we can to ensure you get the best out of your time. Depending on your requirements, fully organised treks do cost more and your itinerary is relatively fixed although we try to be as flexible, changes are possible. Either way you will have all the relevant information before you depart and should be confident with all arrangements. Choosing the right trek to suit your needs is not always easy, we separate ours into 3 categories: Soft, Moderate and Strenuous we have treks throughout Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and Sikkim. Depending on your experience and fitness we will help to chose the most appropriate for you if you have not already decided.
