15 Dec : Arrival in
Kathmandu
Langtang RI Representatives will welcome groups
at the Kathmandu Airport with a banner and drop
them at the hotel. After check-in at the hotel
and refreshments, LRT office management
personnel and a guide will formally introduce
themselves and provide a trip briefing. Group
members should submit 2 passport size photos
plus a copy of their passport and a copy of
Travel insurance to the office personnel.
16 Dec : Sightseeing in Kathmandu B
After breakfast we start an interesting tour
around Kathmandu, escorted by an
English-speaking guide. (We can provide a guide
speaking any other language on request.) This
tour provides a full taste of our vivid cultural
image and the enchanting mannerisms and
traditions of our people. The tour includes
stops at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple),
Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square
17 Dec : Fly to Lukla & Trek to
Phakding(2610m) BLD
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m.) which takes
about 40 minutes, then trek from Lukla to
Phakding (2640 m.) which takes approximately
three hours following a gentle climb up the
mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi.
18 Dec : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
BLD
The trail continues north up the Dudh Kosi
valley to Jorsale, where the trail officially
enters the Sagarmatha National Park.. We
continue along the trail, cross the Bhote Kosi
River and climb steeply to Namche Bazaar 3440 m.
Remember to look out for glimpses of Mt. Everest
early on the trail.
19 Dec : Rest Day BLD
We have a rest day in Namche Bazaar to
acclimatize. This town, the hub of Sherpa
society, is the administrative centre of the
Khumbu region, several shops selling items of
every description and a proliferation of Sherpa
inns.
20 Dec : Namche to Tengboche(3860m) BLD
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867 m.)
which takes about five hours Tengboche is an
important viewpoint on this course, and the
sunset on Everest and Ama Dablam is especially
beautiful from here. We visit the monastery at
Tengboche, the largest monastery in Khumbu
region.
21 Dec : Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m) BLD
Leave Tyangboche and the Khumbu mountains as a
backdrop and descend to a rhododendron-covered
area to emerge in a pleasant level area. Pass a
long Mani-stone wall to enter the village of
Dingboche. From here, the walk is fairly
moderate as you enter the Imjatse Valley beneath
the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and
Lhotse with views of the eastern snow capped
mountains including Island Peak (6,189m).
22 Dec : Dingboche to Lobuche(4910m) BLD
The trail ascends the broad, gently sloping
valley and climbs steeply into the terminal
moraine of the Khumbu glaciers. It then crosses
the bridge and climbs higher on the moraine to a
row of stone monuments erected in memory of many
Sherpas and foreign mountaineers who have died
climbing Everest before reaching Lobuche
(4910m.)
23 Dec : Gorekshep –Kalla Patthar(5550m) –
Gorekshep BLD
We do an early morning climb to Kala Patthar
(5550m.) and enjoy the view of sunrise. From
Kala Patthar you can have a panoramic view of
Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks such
as Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt.
Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt.
Thamserku and many more.
24 Dec : Gorekshep- Everest Base Camp
–Lobuche(4910m) & X-MAS EVE CELEBRATION BLD
Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep, it takes about
seven hours. Trek up the valley following the
rocky moraine path and see icy glacial ponds and
icebergs of the Khumbu glacier down below. X-mas
eve celebration will provide delicious food and
wonderful moments seeing incredible views of
immense, snowy mountains. You can experience
traditional lifestyles and diverse customs of
the friendly highlander people..
25 Dec : Lobuche to Pheriche(4240m) BLD
The trail descends to Pheriche at ; it takes
about five to six hours of walking from Lobuche.
26 Dec : Pheriche to Tengboche (3860m) BLD
Enjoy a morning visit to the research center.
Then you trek back to Tengboche, an easier
descent passing through rhododendron forest. It
is a small village with a famous monastery
offering you the splendid view of Ama Dablam,
green hills and river views.
27 Dec : Pengboche to Khumjung(3780m) BLD
There is great chance to explore Yeti skull at
Khumjung Monastery, visit School which it has
built in the cooperation by Sir Edmund Hillary,
Also possible to visit Kunde hospital and you
can enjoy with stunning views of snowy mountains
28 Dec : Khumjung to Phakding BLD
Descent steeply back to the Dudh Kosi river and
continue our way past the national park
checkpoint at Monjo. From Monjo we will go
through forests of magnolia, giant firs and
rhododendrons to Chomoa, the site of an
agricultural project. We cross the Dudh Kosi
river to its west-bank and continue our way down
to Phakding .
29 Dec : Phakding to Lukla (2840m) BLD
The last day of your trek leads from Phakding to
Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few
short uphill climbs and then down to the
Bhote-Koshi River cross. The last uphill climb
of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your
overnight stay.
30 Dec : Fly to Kathmandu B
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You take an early
morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes
approximately 40 minutes. Check-in at hotel,
this is the free day enjoy yourself on Rickshaw
ride at Thamel.
31 Dec : Free Day of your own BD
This is the free day and you can use it for your
shopping .New Year eve in Nepali cultural
restaurant.
01 Jan : Departure to Airport. B
All too soon it's time to bid Nepal farewell and
one realizes that we can never be intimate, only
acquainted with this amazing adventure Himalaya.

Mode of Payment & Booking
Conditions
- We accept cash, credit card and payment
through bank. A non-refundable deposit of 10
percent must be paid at time of booking and
booking form must be completed.
- Final payment is due 30 days prior to
departure.
- Travel insurance with unlimited medical cover
is compulsory for all trips to Nepal.
- A visa for Nepal is to be obtained prior to
departure from your home country, or it can
obtained in the Kathmandu airport. Please note
your passport must be valid for a minimum of six
months after your return and two additional
passport-size pictures are required.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Every effort will be made to keep to the above
itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a
remote mountain region we cannot guarantee it!
Weather conditions and the health of trekkers
can all contribute to changes. The guides and
their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that
the trip runs according to plan, but please be
prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Accommodation on the trek & Food
You will be accommodated in teahouses while on
the trek. These are simple, local-run
guesthouses with twin-share or single rooms.
Toilets and showers are of varying standards.
Typical food available for lunch and dinner is
Nepali rice & lentils, pasta, potato dishes,
soups or pizzas. Delicious pancakes, porridge,
toast and eggs are the main breakfast fare,
while tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always
available. You will probably be pleasantly
surprised at the variety of food at the lodges.
Physical Fitness
There are a lot of steep ascents and descents on
the trek and a good level of fitness is
required. Some days you may be required to walk
up to six hours. Please note that the estimated
walking time each day will vary according to the
overall fitness of the group and weather
conditions.
Footwear & Clothing:
Bring well broken-in walking shoes, suitable for
snow; thick socks, light socks, camp shoes; down
or fiber filled waterproof jacket and pants;
sweater or fleece jacket; underwear; warm and
cotton or polypropylene pants or jeans; shirts
and T-shirts; shorts; long underwear; wool hat;
sun hat; gloves; bathing suit; comfortable
track/gym suit.
