The trek to Ghorepani - Poon Hill which
is located in Annapurna region, is truly called as all
the best of the trekking in Nepal. The trek offers the
spectacular mountain scenery along with charming
villages inhabited particularly by the Gurungs & Magars,
dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep
sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with
the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak)
dominating the skyline. One of the important highlight
of this trip is to make a climb on Poon Hill, possibly
the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. When sun
rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan
giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along
with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just

27 Dec Kathmandu arrival
(1300m)
Langtang RI Representatives will welcome groups
at the Kathmandu Airport with a banner and drop
them at the hotel. After check-in at the hotel
and refreshments, LRT office management
personnel and a guide will formally introduce
themselves and provide a trip briefing. Group
members should submit 2 passport size photos
plus a copy of their passport and a copy of
Travel insurance to the office personnel.
28 Dec Kathmandu sightseeing. B
After breakfast we start an interesting tour
around Kathmandu, escorted by an
English-speaking guide. (We can provide a guide
speaking any other language on request.) This
tour provides a full taste of our vivid cultural
image and the enchanting mannerisms and
traditions of our people. The tour includes
stops at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple),
Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
29 Dec Kathmandu to Pokhara B
Fly (30 minute) or Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.) which
takes about six hours. Pokhara is tourist's
paradise with full of natural as well as
cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves,
temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with
mountains.
30 Dec Pokhara to Nayapool Drive & trek to
Tikhedhunga (1577m ) BLD
After breakfast at hotel you could drive by car
or van for one and half hours to Nayapul. Then
you start your trekking. The first part of your
trek is easy passing through numerous small
villages and settlements. The majority people
here are Gurung and their religion is Buddhist.
They are engaged in agricultural activities,
tourism business and some in Gorkha and Indian
regiments..
31 Dec Tirkhedunga to Ghorepani(2675 m) BLD
To begin your trek, you could ascend steeply for
the early 2 hours and then ascend gently passing
through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, Magar
villages. On the way, you could see good view of
Machhapuchhre or Fish Tail (6997m.), Huinchuli
(6441m.), and Annapurna (7219m.) South. Now your
trail is quite easier passing through forest and
descends gently up to the final camp. A special
New Year celebration will provide delicious food
and wonderful moments seeing incredible views of
immense, snowy mountains. You can experience
traditional lifestyles and diverse customs of
the friendly highlander people.
01 Jan Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3180m.) to

New year , Early morning trip to Poon Hill
(3232m.) to enjoy the first sunrise view over
Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.),
Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt.
Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.),
Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.),
Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.),
Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous

02 Jan : Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk
(1950m.) BLD
After breakfast we take a trial to Ghandruk, It
Ghandruk is a big Gurung village. There is a
handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this
village you could see good views of Annapurna
South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna
III (7755m.) and Fishtail
03 Jan : Ghandruk to Nayapool Drive to
Pokhara BL
Your trek descends through Kimshe to Shaulo
Bazaar. You need to walk almost half an hour to
get to Nayapul. Drive from Nayapul to Pokhara by
taxi. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara
04 Jan Pokhara to Kathmandu BD
Morning fly to Kathmandu from Pokhara. This is
the free day and you can use it for your
shopping. In the evening we will drive you to a
farewell dinner with cultural dancing.
05 Jan Final Departure.
All too soon it's time to bid Nepal farewell and
one realizes that we can never be intimate, only
acquainted with this amazing adventure himalaya.

Conditions
- We accept cash, credit card and payment
through bank. A non-refundable deposit of 10
percent must be paid at time of booking and
booking form must be completed.
- Final payment is due 30 days prior to
departure.
- Travel insurance with unlimited medical cover
is compulsory for all trips to Nepal.
- A visa for Nepal is to be obtained prior to
departure from your home country, or it can
obtained in the Kathmandu airport. Please note
your passport must be valid for a minimum of six
months after your return and two additional
passport-size pictures are required.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation in writing is received by Langtang Ri Trekking more than 45 days prior to departure, the non-refundable deposit will be retained (maximum 10% of total land price) plus any air cancellation fees that may apply
- If cancellation is received within 45 days of departure, the following per person cancellation fees will apply:
- 15 - 45 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
- 7 - 14 days prior to departure: 35% of total price
- Less than 7 days prior to departure: 50% of total price (except for the total cost of government fees)
- On departure day or later: 100% of total price.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Every effort will be made to keep to the above
itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a
remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it!
Weather conditions and the health of trekkers
can all contribute to changes. The guides and
their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that
the trip runs according to plan, but please be
prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Experience Required :This Trek is
suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk
for 6 7 hours in a day, with a light rucksack.
Some of the days are quite long, and the walking
feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally the
trail is a good track, but occasionally it will
be uneven and rocky.
Food & Accommodation : You are
accommodated in teahouses whilst on trek. A
teahouse is a local run guesthouse, but
standards vary enormously. In popular areas such
as Everest, teahouses are more like hotels, with
hot water, Western food and private rooms
Recommended equipment list :Trekkers need
to provide their own personal clothing and
equipment. Some items of equipment are available
for hire from us as like Sleeping bag and Down
Jacket
Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes -
these must be suitable for snow, thick socks,
light socks, camp shoes.
Clothing : Down or fiber filled
waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or
fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton
trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts,
long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves,
bathing suit, track suit.
