Gorkha - the untouched and
captivating town of Nepal! Some 300 years ago, Nepal was
divided into 50 tiny states, and Gorkha was one of them.
King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the founder of `Shah
Dynasty' which runs Nepal today, unified Nepal into one
kingdom. His Gorkha palace resides on top of a hill at
an altitude of 3281 feet (about 1000 meter) The King
would watch-over his people as far as his eyes could see
from the tallest palace in the very center of Nepal!
Gorkha is also the home of Gurkhas - the legendary brave
warriors who fought with knives against guns.
You will be glad to go on the top “ Gorkha Palace “. On
a clear sky day, you can view Himalayan range including
spectacular view of Manaslu and Himalchuli Mountains,
and panoramic views of the valleys. In the Gorkha
District of Nepal a community tourist program is in its
third year of operation. The area is full of natural
beauty, panoramic views, green mid-hill trekking,
unspoilt jungle areas, lakes, caves, waterfalls and
flora (medicinal, scented and edible plants).
Village tourism, a recent innovation, is successfully
demonstrated at Sirubari in Syangja a half day s
distance from Pokhara. It is a three hour walk from the
road-head just 30 kilometers from Pokhara. A management
committee takes responsibility for visitors, their
welcome, accommodation, sightseeing and guiding. The
village consists of 60 households of which many are
offering guest accommodation. It is a very neat and
clean village; the accommodation is simple, but
comfortable, with good bedding, as well as clean toilet
facilities. Meals of daily fresh food are eaten with the
family, and each evening there is entertainment provided
by the community, which is usually Gurung dancing and
singing.

Booking Conditions
- A non - refundable deposit of 10 percent must
be paid at time of booking and booking form must
be completed.
- Final payment is due 60 days prior to
departure.
- Travel insurance with unlimited medical cover
is compulsory for all trips to Nepal.
- A visa for Nepal is to be obtained prior to
departure from your home country or can obtain
in Kathmandu airport, please note your passport
must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after
your return and 2 passport size picture needed.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation in writing is received by Langtang Ri Trekking more than 45 days prior to departure, the non-refundable deposit will be retained (maximum 10% of total land price) plus any air cancellation fees that may apply
- If cancellation is received within 45 days of departure, the following per person cancellation fees will apply:
- 15 - 45 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
- 7 - 14 days prior to departure: 35% of total price
- Less than 7 days prior to departure: 50% of total price (except for the total cost of government fees)
- On departure day or later: 100% of total price.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Every effort will be made to keep to the above
itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a
remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it!
Weather conditions and the health of trekkers
can all contribute to changes. The guides and
their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that
the trip runs according to plan, but please be
prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Experience Required :This Trek is
suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk
for 6 – 7 hours in a day, with a light rucksack.
Some of the days are quite long, and the walking
feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally the
trail is a good track, but occasionally it will
be uneven and rocky.
Food & Accommodation : You are
accommodated in teahouses whilst on trek. A
teahouse is a local run guesthouse, but
standards vary enormously. In popular areas such
as Everest, teahouses are more like hotels, with
hot water, Western food and private rooms
Recommended equipment list :Trekkers need
to provide their own personal clothing and
equipment. Some items of equipment are available
for hire from us as like Sleeping bag and Down
Jacket
Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes -
these must be suitable for snow, thick socks,
light socks, camp shoes.
Clothing : Down or fiber filled
waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or
fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton
trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts,
long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves,
bathing suit, track suit.
