It has become famous ever since the famous British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it as the most beautiful valley in the world. The Langtang valley is also known as the treasure house of alpine plants as the whole valley is covered with flowers during the summer. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs. Whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to Tibetan.

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel, here you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.

After breakfast we start an interesting tour around Kathmandu, escorted by an English-speaking guide. (We can provide a guide speaking any other language on request.) This tour provides a full taste of our vivid cultural image and the enchanting mannerisms and traditions of our people. The tour includes stops at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath ( hindu pilgrimage temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square( home of living goddess, ancient royal palace ) & Baudhanath( biggest stupa in south Asia) .

Travelling through Trishuli (Nuwakot) today the journey length will depend on the season and the number of landslides caused by heavy rains. On a good day it will take you 7 to 8 hours. The views on the way are very pretty.
28 Dec Dhunche to Syabru village (2200m). Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
Walking along the road to Thulo Bharku and steep up to Barbal for lunch and walk along the side and over night. It is beautiful countryside with Oaks and Pine trees and a lot of bird life around.
29 Dec Syabru village to Lama Hotel (2480m). Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
After breakfast descends down along the village and cross the bridge and climb other side. Descend down to landslide and slow climb along the Langtang river.
30 Dec Lama Hotel To Langtang Village (3480m ). Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
Your gentle climb to begin with soon steepens high above the river to Ghora Tabela. (2970m). You will soon find yourself in open country with scattered Tamang settlements. You will have climbed nearly 100m today relatively steadily. The village here is home to some yak herds and cheese factories, worth exploring if you have the energy.
31 Dec Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa (3900m ) & New year Eve Celebration Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
You will climb to the ridge this morning marked with a big chorten and some Mani walls, from here you will have views of Kyanjing Gompa and the icefall from Langtang Lirung surrounded by snowy mountains. You will be walking for around 3 hours today so time to explore the area this afternoon. .
A special New Year celebration will provide delicious food and wonderful moments seeing incredible views of immense, snowy mountains. You can experience traditional lifestyles and diverse customs of the friendly highlander people.
01 Jan New Year Rest Day Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
New Year day and this is a rest day at Kyangjin Gompa we will have excursions in and around the village to explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4773m), directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks.
02 Jan Kyanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel (2480m) Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
You will return the way you came today following the Langtang Khola river to Langtang Village and on to Ghra Tabela and down to Lama Hotel
03 Jan Lama Hotel- Syabru (2200m) Overnight in Trekking lodges BLD
The beginning of your journey today is very pretty and offers magnificent views. You will begin descending gently before it steepens to Syabrubesi, taking about 5 hours in total.
04 Jan Syabrubesi To Kathmandu . Overnight in Hotel B
Drive from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu by bus, which takes about nine hours.
05 Jan Kathmandu free day on your own. Overnight in Hotel BD
This is the free day and you can use it for your shopping. In the evening we will drive you to a farewell dinner with cultural dancing.
06 Jan Final Departure.
