Swinburne University Thanks Langtang Ri Trekking
Since 2013 Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia, has broadened the experience of health faculty students by arranging cultural exchange and volunteer assistance trips to rural Nepal. Over the last five years Langtang Ri has worked closely with Associate Professor Paula Geldens to organise and host these life-changing journeys for young Australian students. The students have worked in a range of rural development programs across Nepal and also had the opportunity to explore some of the spectacular Himalaya Mountains trails and landscape for which Nepal is renowned. However, all good things must eventually come to an end and now Associate Professor Geldens must advance her career in a new direction and so the student program will end. In late January 2017 Langtang Ri Managing Director, Mrs Pamfa Dhamala, and Associate Professor Geldens exchanges letters of appreciation recognising both parties work and commitment over the last five years.
