The 7 Days Express Trek to Annapurna Base Camp The Seven Days Express Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

So you want to explore some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Himalayas of Nepal but you are a little short on time.  Then you should book your place on the "Annapurna Express". No, its not a train, bus or plane - its the fast trek into the stunning heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary in western Nepal. This seven day trek takes you from the wonderful city of Pokhara all the way to the historic Annapurna Base Camp site and back to Pokhara.  So lace your boot up tight and get going.  Click here for all the itinerary details for this 7 Day Annapurna Base Camp trek.

The Annapurna Sanctuary region is blessed with countless mountain summits that will take your breath away just looking at them.  The trail follows the deep valley cut by the Modi Khola river and its ancient glaciers.  If you trek in spring you will get to walk through many kilometers of gorgeous rhododendron forests in full bloom. You then pass below the sacred mountain of Mount Machhapuchchhre, 6,993m, also known commonly as Fishtail for obvious reasons when you see it.  You are certain to return home with at least 100 stunning photos of just this mountain alone.  Its gorgeous ice-capped summit grabs your eye and tugs at your heart with every twist and turn of the trail.

The trek continues further up the valley before turning west into the vast natural amphitheater valley below the towering summit and rock wall of Annapurna South, 8,091m.  Standing at Annapurna Base Camp will leave you awed by the might and beauty of Himalayan peaks that totally surround you.  This is one of the most stunning vistas in the entire Himalaya Mountain range and something that you will remember for the rest of your life.

So, if you have seven days to spare, catch the "Annapurna Express" and make these some of the best days of your life.
