Trekking in Nepal after the April 25th Earthquake
Our clients Heidi and Cindy from the United States were trekking the Gokyo Lakes and the Mount Everest region just after the April 25th earthquake. Here is what they had to say about their May 3rd to 12th 2015 trek.
Dear Pamfa and Langtang Ri,
Langtang Ri trekking rocks! We were unfortunately scheduled to start our trek just days after the major earthquake hit Kathmandu. Langtang Ri trekking was understanding and honest about the whole situation and put us with a fantastic guide that was cautious and smart. Phurkel (our guide) was also great company, and had an amazing eye, pointing out all sorts of wildlife we easily would have bypassed. The sights were BREATHTAKING! We made it all the way to Gokyo Ri, with an awesome view of Everest, thanks to frequent communication with other trekkers on the trail (all through Phurkel.) Overall great experience!
They even helped us find relief work to do once we got back to the city with their whole company suiting up to rebuild broken homes. Again, great company to book with. Thanks Langtang Ri Trekking!

So, Nepal is open for business and trekking in the Mount Everest region has been affected to only a minor extent by the earthquake.
Heidi and Cindy also shared some photos with us from their trek.
