This grade includes climbing peaks and the demanding treks in remote areas. Participants having basic knowledge of use of crampons and ice axes are required. First-time climbers can undertake one of our one-day pre-trek ropes and climbing training days to obtain some initial skills and experience.
This mountain biking itinerary takes you to the Kingdom of Upper Mustang in western Nepal plus some of the best remote mountain bike trails in the Himalayas. You also get to explore amazing villages and scared temples that few bikers ever get to see. You get to ride wild and remote Jeep and pack-horse trails in the most spectacular gorge and mountain scenery. The ride also tests body and mind with challenging days at high altitude over 4,000m mountain passes where fitness and bike skills are at the limit. You also get to explore an ancient Tibetan culture that has been protected from the outside world for centuries and only opened to foreign visitors in 1992.
At times you will have 8,000m monster mountains towering above you. At other times you will be high above the valley floor with the view of an eagle over the hills and plains below as you ride through "the deepest gorge in the world". This ride is accompanied by a Jeep that carries all your gear and spare parts so you are free to ride light and fast. Hire of a high quality mountain bike is included in this package so you can also travel light from home to Nepal.

Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.
Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.
Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons), lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.
Other items: Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards and personal medical kit.
