Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel; here you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.
Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje .It takes 8-10 hours .We pass many more farming communities that now subsist off their crops of corn, barley and potatoes. The trails takes us through forests of bamboo and beautiful rhododendrons that flower from February through to April. We reach the village of Tal, with its often flowing waterfall.
Today is the honey hunting preparation day. It is one of the very adventurous Tours that includes the amazing and surprising scene of Nepal with it. Nepal is a rich country in honeybee and is a better place for the honey hunting. There are at least five different species of Honeybee in Nepal.
This day can be a challenging for collecting honey . The lead honey hunter collects honey in the bucket from the beehives and passes down to another person. This wild honey was used for a medical purpose which still exists and has medicinal value with a great deal of money in the international market. With honey hunting, there is the chance of viewing and experiencing the traditional honey harvest of Gurung people. Nepal honey hunting is a tradition twice (spring and autumn) a year to collect the wild honey from the hive hanging on a rock hill.
