    Moderate trekking involves 5 – 6 hours a day walking at a steady pace below 4000 meters for around 10 days trekking trip.

Ghandruk is a big Gurung village with a handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this village you could see the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna III (7755m) and Fishtail.This short trek provides a good introduction into trekking whilst also providing some wonderful close up views of both the sacred mountain Macchapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. Our destination is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Here you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out.

    15 Feb 2018 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) overnight in hotel

    Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. A Lantang Ri Trekking & Expedition representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. When you are ready you will be received from your hotel lobby and driven to our Thamel office where you will be formally introduced to your Trekking Guide. We will go through all your trek itinerary and arrangements with you and ensure every detail is in place. We will also ask for your passport, photographs and any other details so that we can organize any permits required for your trek and the region you will be exploring.

  • Day 2
    16 Feb 2018 Morning flight to Pokhara then drive to Ghandruk (1940m) overnight in trekking lodges.

    Morning flight to Pokhara takes 20 minutes at max and drive to Ghandruk . A scenic road journey takes you from Pokhara to Ghandruk at the northward entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. There are a few villages you pass through today and they make a great place to take a break and enjoy a cup of Nepali tea. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village with a handicraft centre and Gurung museum.   • Day 3
    17 Feb 2018 Ghandruk to Tolka(1900m) Overnight in trekking lodges

    Trek from Ghandruk to Tolka will take about 4 hrs. Today you will walk by the Landruk village. After several ups and downs following the Modi River, the trekking route passes though farming lands, jungles and fantastic views of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Annapurna South, Mt Hiuchuli and more peaks.

  • Day 4
    18 Feb 2018 Tolka to Phedi and drive to Pokhara(900m)overnight in hotel

    Trek from Tolka to Phedi takes about 5 hrs. You can see the sub tropical climatic vegetation along the route with several types of flora and fauna and mountain views rather near like impressive fishtail view and Mount Annapurna view .

  • Day 5
    19 Feb 2018 Early morning visit Sarangkot and flight back to Kathmandu (1300m), Evening Departure

    Early morning drive to Sarangkot offers an excellent view of Mt Annapurna, Mt. Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri on a clear weather day. After lunch, you will fly Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. In the evening we will receive you from your hotel lobby in plenty of time to take you to the airport to check-in for your flight. We wish you well for your journey home and hope you will return to Nepal soon to explore another region of our amazing little country.

Recommended equipment list: Trekkers need to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. Some items of equipment are available for hire from us as like Down Jacket

Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.

Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

 

Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons),  lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.

 

Other items: Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards and personal medical kit.
