    Moderate trekking involves 5 – 6 hours a day walking at a steady pace below 4000 meters for around 10 days trekking trip.

Apart from the roller coaster trekking journey Annapurna base camp trek & Poonhill Trek ignites the excitement offering dazzling vision of the sunrise above snowy peaks Annapurna, Fishtail, Manaslu from the Ghorepani Poonhill located at the height of 3210 which known as view point for the sunrise.

  • Day 01
    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m). Overnight in hotel

    Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The Langtang Ri Trekking & Expedition representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After your refreshment, you will be picked up from your hotel lobby and driven to our Thamel office where you will be formally introduced to your trekking guide. We will go through all your trek itinerary and arrangements with you to ensure every detail is in place. We will also ask to bring your passport, extra passport photographs and a copy of your travel insurance so that we can organize permits required for your trek in the Annapurna region.

  • Day 02
    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m) Overnight in hotel

    After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara; naturally blessed city and gateway to top trekking destination. It takes 6 hours to reach Pokhara covering the 205 kilometers distance or you can take 40 minutes flight to Pokhara.

  • Day 03
    Drive to Ulleri and trek to Banthanti(2900m) Overnight at the trekking lodge.

    After breakfast, drive to Ulleri from Pokhara on the narrow winding one-way road which is the best option to escape steep uphill stony steps to reach Ullleri. During 2.5 hours journey, we cover 52 kilometers distance. Then from Ulleri, we trek to Banthanti for the overnight.

  • Day 04
    Trek to Ghorepani (2900m). Overnight at the trekking lodge.

    After breakfast, trek to Ghorepani. At first, we take the ascending trail to arrive at our lunch spot at Deurali (3180 m), which is the highest point of the trek. After lunch, continue trek along the trail running through the rhododendrons forest for roughly about 1 1/2 hours to reach at Ghorepani for the overnight. Overnight at the Ghorepani.

  • Day 05
    Ghorepani to Poon Hill then trek to Tadapani(3,210m) Overnight at the trekking lodge.

    Early morning we ascend to Poonhill nestled at the height of 3210 meters which is the vantage point for the breathtaking vision of the Annapurna massif, Mount Nilgiri, Mount Annapurna South, Macchpuchhre, Lamjung Himal and many more. After the dazzling vision of the sunrise above the silvery peaks descends to Ghorepani retracing the route. Then after having breakfast at Ghorepani continue trek to Tadapani for the overnight. During the 6-7 hours trek, we cover a distance of 9 kilometers descending 400 meters.

  • Day 06
    Tadapani to Chhomrung (2,170m) Overnight at the trekking lodge.

    Today, we take a gradual uphill trail to reach Chomrung for the overnight. During the 5-6 hours journey we cover almost 8 kilometers distance crossing the small villages Chiule, Ghurjung, Taulung dotted along the trail. During the trek, we will be rewarded with natural beauty, rich culture, stunning vision of the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre and many more. During the 5-6 hours trek, we cover the 8.5 kilometers distance.

  • Day 07
    Chhomrung to Himalayan Hotel (2,920m)Overnight at the trekking lodges

    Most of the trek will be on the undulating trail through rhododendron forests, villages, bamboo forest to reach Himalaya for the overnight. During the 7 hours journey, we cross many suspension bridges and gain an altitude of 700 meters enjoying the scenic beauty of the towering Mount Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre at every corner of the trek.

  • Day 08
    Himalayan Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight at the trekking lodges. (4,130m)

    After breakfast, we trek from the Himalayan hotel taking the slightly ascending trail to reach Annapurna base camp where we thrill at the 360-degree view of the sparkling snow-clad peaks including Annapurna South, Fishtail, Annapurna glacier and many more, for the overnight.

  • Day 09
    Annapurna Base Camp and descend back to Bamboo(2,310m) overnight in trekking lodges

    After breakfast, trek for 6-7 hours on the downhill trail that descends 1700 meters from previous day location to reach at Bamboo located at the height of 2310 meters, for overnight stay. During the trek, thrill on the breathtaking vision of the Annapurna, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and many more.

  • Day 10
    Bamboo to Jhinuwa(1,780m) overnight in trekking lodges

    After breakfast, continue the journey on the undulating trail that crosses the lush forests as well as the culturally adorned Choomrong village to reach Jhinudanda for the overnight stay. And on 5-6 hours trek, we descend 500 meters from the previous night location as Jhinudanda is nestled at the height of 1780 meters from the sea level. At Jhinudanda we will soothe the pain of trek taking bath on the natural hot springs.

  • Day 11
    Jhinuwa to Ghandruk (1,940m) overnight in trekking lodges

    After breakfast, we trek on the downhill trail to cross the river then take a steep uphill path up to Tadapani then later descend to Ghandruk for the overnight. Ghandruk is the amazing village settled by the culturally adorned Gurung community. At Ghandruk we explore the handicraft center and Gurung museum. During the 6-7 hours journey, we gain 160 meters in height.

  • Day 12
    Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara(900m) overnight in hotel

    After breakfast, we take a downhill path to reach Nayapul. During the 5 hours trek, we descend 900 meters passing other villages Birethanti. From Nayapul we have an hour's drive to Pokhara for the overnight.

  • Day 13
    Pokhara to Kathmandu drive, Overnight in Hotel

    After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy a full day at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Recommended equipment list: Trekkers need to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. Some items of equipment are available for hire from us as like Down Jacket

Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.

Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

 

Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons),  lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.

Other items: Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards, and personal medical kit.
