    Moderate trekking involves 5 – 6 hours a day walking at a steady pace below 4000 meters for around 10 days trekking trip.

LangtangTamang Heritage Trail is rough patchwork of the local footpaths weaved amid the vibrant cultural villages settled by the ethnic Tamang community who has preserved their cultural heritage, arts, artisans crafts on virgin form. Langtang Tamang Heritage trek is threaded along the trail passing through lively villages sticked to traditional life, perceiving the graceful Tamang culture with taste of local and organic food mingling with inhabitants and sharing experience and joke with them. Feel the vibes of the music generated from the local and ethnic instruments Damfu and Tunguna on every overnight stay appreciating the crafts, relics carved on the windows, homes, tudals, stupas, and monasteries as a memorable reward for the whole life.

Along with cultural fascination Tamang Heritage trail amazes with the most beautiful and picturesque scenery from the very first day of the day which can be easily accessed from Kathmandu. Tamang Heritage Trail is newly opened trail which once used to be salt caravan route between Nepal and Tibet.

  • Day 1
    Kathmandu arrival. (1,300m)

    Langtang Ri Trekking & Expedition representative will greet you in an airport & transfer you to your Hotel, after refreshment you will be picked from hotel lobby to office where you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.

  • Day 2
    Drive to Kathmandu to Syabrubesi to Gatlang. (2,238m)

    After breakfast check out at hotel. Then drive from Kathmandu heading towards the north passing through the scenic foothills to reach Syabrubesi crossing Dhunche. During the drive along the road running besides the Trisuli River enjoy the amazing scenery compilation of terraced field, rolling hills as well as captivating beuty of Ganesh Himal. Then start trekking from Syabrubesi to arrive at Gatlang village for overnight stay. You will be warmly welcomed showcasing the cultural show at Gatlang

  • Day 3
    Gatlang to Tatopani via Chilime. (2,607m)

    Today trek begins from the Gatlang following the downhill trail until we reach Thangboche; beautiful place residing besides Bhotekoshi River. Then continue journey on the uphill path after crossing the small suspension bridge to reach our campsite. During the journey you will rewarded with the spectacular glimpses of the Langang range and Ganesh Himal.

  • Day 4
    Tatopani to Thuman Via Nagthali (2,338m)

    Trek from Tatopani on the upward route to reach Nagthali which used to be famous meditation center for the local monks and priests. Then trek downhill crossing Nagthali danda to reach Thuman, beautiful village settled by the graceful Tamang community who are ingrained to Tibetan Buddhism culture. During the journey thrill on the majestic vision of the snowcapped peaks like Langtang Lirung, Kerung, Ganesh Himal, Sanjen along appreciating the ancient monasteries and houses decorated with wood carvings that are dotted along the trail.

  • Day 5
    Thuman to Timure & excursion in Tibetan Borderlands. (1,762m)

    Continue journey on flat trail at early part of the today’s trek then follow downhill trail to reach Timure where we will have our lunch. Then after lunch we head towards Rasuwagadhi; historical city nestled on the border to Tibet and hub for trade between Nepal and Tibet.

  • Day 6
    Timure to Khanjim Via Briddim (2,280m)

    Today we leave Timure following the trail running through rhododendron forests and green pasture until we reach Briddim; small village on the lap of the grandeur Langtang himal with the traditional houses constructed from stones and settled by the Tamang community taming the classic the Tibetan Buddhist culture on pristine form. Then head towards Kyanjim from Briddim for overnight stay.

  • Day 7
    Khanjim to Thulo Syabru (2,210m)

    We proceed our trekking on the steep uphill trail running through oak, fir and rhododendron forests to reach Thulo Syabru for overnight stay.

  • Day 8
    Trek from Thulo Syabru to Cholangpati (3,654m)

    We leave Thulo Syabru continuing trek to reach Sing Gompa; beautiful village and here we will explore the traditional cheese factory where cheese are made from the Yak milk, as well as explore Buddhist monastery also then head to another village passing through pastureland to reach Cholangpati for overnight stay.

  • Day 9
    Trek from Cholangpati to Gosaikunda and back to Singompa (4,380m)

    After the dazzling vision of sunrise above spectacular snowy peaks Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal early morning at Cholangpati then trek on steep uphill trail to reach our next destination Gosainkund; glaciated lake at the bosom of the mountains, after enjoying shimmering beauty of the lake then descend to Sing Gompa for overnight stay.

  • Day 10
    Trek from Singompa to Dhunche and Drive back to Kathmandu (1,060m)

    After breakfast, trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche enjoying the amazing scenery compilation of mountain views, green fields, rolling hills then we will catch bus from Dhunche for long return drive to Kathmandu on the windy mountainous path of the Himalayan foothills.

  • Day 11
    Free Day in Kathmandu and evening transport to Airport for international Departure (1,300m)

    Afternoon is the free day and you can use it for your shopping. All too soon it’s time to bid Nepal farewell and one realizes that we can never be intimate, only acquainted with this amazing adventure Himalaya.

Recommended equipment list: Trekkers need to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. Some items of equipment are available for hire from us as like Down Jacket

Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons),  lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.

Other items: Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards and personal medical kit.
