    This trip grade involves trekking up to 7 hours a day below 5000 meters for the duration of 10 -15 days trip. Any reasonably active person should be able to manage these trips.

Off the beaten Numbur Cheese circuit trek is the camping trek where trekkers and adventurers experience the wilderness of the region along with added bonus exploring the traditional cheese factory along with camping for the overnight. The Trek route named after Numbur Chuli Peak (6959 m) which is also one of the highlights of the trek combines the two dramatic valleys Khimti and Likhu. Trekking trail set on the remote Ramechhap district; flanked between two spectacular ranges Himalayas on the North and Mahabharat on the South, gifts moments to perceive the breathtaking vision of the skyscraping mountains Gaurishankar, Jugal, Langtang, Ramdung apart from the seducing glimpses of the shimmering glacial lakes, rice fields along feeling the lush alpine vegetation.

Commence on the thrilling number cheese circuit trek from Shivalaya after 12 hours long drive on the mountainous road that passes the scenic Jiri; touted as the Switzerland of Nepal, and that takes at the maximum elevation of 4880 meters granting the opportunity to immerse on the beauty of 4000 meters altitude icy lakes along with the spiritual insight of the Buddhist culture, religion visiting Thodung monastery. And also visit the traditional cheese factory during the trek for the mouth-watering taste of the Yak cheese.

    Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

    Kathmandu- Shivalaya drive’ (1790m), 9 hours. Overnight at camp

    Shivalaya - Khahare (2175m). Overnight at camp.
  • Day 04
    Khahare-Panipakha (3105m), 6 hours. Overnight at camp
  • Day 05
    Panipakha- Maanedanda (3940m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 06
    Acclimatization at Manedanda. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 07
    Manedanda- Panch Pokhari (4515m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 08
    Panch Pokhari-Tare Kharka (4140m), 7 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 09
    Tare Kharka- Ngeju (3690m), 6 hours via Gyazo-La Pass (4880m). Overnight at camp.
  • Day 10
    Ngeju- Lhachhewar (2665m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 11
    Lhachhewar- Gumdel (2255m), 6 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 12
    Gumdel-Serding (3360m), 4 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 13
    Serding- Lapchane (3150m), 6 hours via Thodung. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 14
    Lapchane- Those (1755m), 4-5 hours. Overnight at camp.
  • Day 15
    Those- Kathmandu (1300m), 8-9 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

    Departure
  • Day 01
    Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

    You will be warmly welcomed by our representatives at the airport and transferred to the hotel for the overnight.

  • Day 02
    Kathmandu- Shivalaya drive’ (1790m), 9 hours. Overnight at camp

    After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu along the mountainous and scenic road that crosses another beautiful village Jiri; set at the countryside setting and famed as Switzerland of Nepal, to reach Shivalaya; nestled alongside Khimti River. During the almost 9 hours drive we gain 490 meters elevation thrilling at the beautiful lush hills, captivating snow-covered peaks.

  • Day 03
    Shivalaya - Khahare (2175m). Overnight at camp.

    Commence on the trek from the Shivalaya along the undulating trail running besides the valley and that passes via terraced fields and crosses river to reach Khahare for the overnight. During the 4-6 hours trek we gain almost 385 meters altitude.

  • Day 04
    Khahare-Panipakha (3105m), 6 hours. Overnight at camp

    After breakfast, ascend the rough trail till we reach hydro headwork then climb to a swing bridge hanged over Ghwang Khola and cross and move ahead right passing left Hindu/ Buddhist shrine for the rigorous ridge climb for the almost 3 hours to reach Panipakha for the overnight camp. During the long trek we ascend 930 meters height.

  • Day 05
    Panipakha- Maanedanda (3940m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.

    Trek on the steeply uphill trail through rhododendron, oaks forests till we reach Phokte 3470 meters then trek on the steep ascending trail until we reach prayer flags 3870 meters then walk on the gently path along lovely alpine ridge to reach Manedanda for the overnight.

  • Day 06
    Acclimatization at Manedanda. Overnight at camp.

  • Day 07
    Manedanda- Panch Pokhari (4515m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.

    We follow ascending trail from Manedanda to reach Jata Pokhari; located on the lap of the Mt. Numburchuli. We pass through alpine pasture to scrubby jungle of Sunpati. Then we trek further to reach Panchpokhari; five lakes perched at the altitude of 4200 meters. During the 5 hours trek we gain 625 meters altitude.

  • Day 08
    Panch Pokhari-Tare Kharka (4140m), 7 hours. Overnight at camp.

    After breakfast, climb uphill to cross the pass set at the altitude of 4600 meters then trek on a gradual downhill trail along Khola Kharka and continue trek ahead on the descending path till we reach Nupche River. During the trek on this part, we can explore the traditional cheese making process. And finally, reach Tare for the overnight camp. During the 6-7 hours trek, we descend 375 meters from the previous night destination.

  • Day 09
    Tare Kharka- Ngeju (3690m), 6 hours via Gyazo-La Pass (4880m). Overnight at camp.

    Trek for 2 hours on the snow and ice-covered stairs to cross the highest pass  Gyajo la pass (4880 meters). During the trek rewarded with the breathtaking views of the Tare Kharka valley and captivating scenery of snowcapped peaks towards Tibet. After crossing the pass descend via Likhu glacier and vast debris to reach Ngeju (3690 meters) for the overnight.

  • Day 10
    Ngeju- Lhachhewar (2665m), 5 hours. Overnight at camp.

    After breakfast, we continue to trek along the trail through the village settled by the Sherpa community. During the 5 hours trek, we have moments to get insights on the Sherpa religion, culture, and festival descending 1025 meters.

  • Day 11
    Lhachhewar- Gumdel (2255m), 6 hours. Overnight at camp.

    We trek from Lhachhewar on the upward trail to reach Kyama where we are blessed with the spectacular scenery of the Numburchuli and Pathivara. Then leaving the sparkling Numburchuli in the background to hike further to Gumdel for the overnight. During the 6hours trek, we descend 410 meters.

  • Day 12
    Gumdel-Serding (3360m), 4 hours. Overnight at camp.

    We trek through the dense and beautiful forest thrilling at the amazing scene of the sub-alpine and temperate forest along with eye-catching vision of the Gaurishankar and Numburchuli peak to reach Serding. During the 4 hours trek, we ascend 1105 meters.

  • Day 13
    Serding- Lapchane (3150m), 6 hours via Thodung. Overnight at camp.

    After breakfast, trek from Serding through Thodung and cross Deurali to reach Lapchane for the overnight. During the 6 hours trek, we visit classic Thodung monastery.

  • Day 14
    Lapchane- Those (1755m), 4-5 hours. Overnight at camp.

    Trek from Lapchane for 4-5 hours to reach Those which is the ending venue of the memorable trek.

  • Day 15
    Those- Kathmandu (1300m), 8-9 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

    Return drive to Kathmandu for the 8-9 hours on the mountainous road of the remote part of the country.

  • Day 16
    Departure

    We will drive you to the airport for the departure according to your scheduled flight.
