This grade includes climbing peaks and the demanding treks in remote areas. Participants having basic knowledge of use of crampons and ice axes are required. First-time climbers can undertake one of our one-day pre-trek ropes and climbing training days to obtain some initial skills and experience.

Tiri la pass trek is challenging trek that requires prior trekking experience to be on the height of 5595 meters from the sea level for the enthralling trekking experience on the secluded region combining two famed destination Upper Mustang and remote region Nar Phu. Camping trek of the Tirila pass with Upper Mustang and Nar Phu requires two special permits to immerse on the beauty furnished on these trekking route medley of the adorned and crafted villages, green pastures, tranquil atmosphere, arts craved on the walls of the forbidden region along with caves as well as captivating scenery of the towering Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre Himal, Manaslu Himal, Dhaulagiri range and many more.
Langtang Ri trekking and expedition will greet you at the airport and transfer to hotel. When you are ready you will be picked up from your hotel lobby and driven to your Thamel office and formally introduced to your trekking guide.
Today is the preparation day as we would prepare all the documents for the trekking like TIMS, ACAP special permits for the Upper Mustang and Naar Phu along with equipments required for the camping trek.
Today we will drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani which is the starting point for the trek. We will drive for almost 8 hours to reach the today’s destination for overnight stay covering almost 374 km. And Dharapani is one junction way for the Manaslu round and also big villages on Manang valley
Today the trail climbs along the mule track through in and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple trees. You can enjoy the spectacular mountain views of Annapurna II and Manaslu range along the way to Koto. Koto is a small village mainly inhabited by Gurung and other ethnic groups. Their lifestyle is mainly influenced by Buddhist Tibetans. Stay overnight at camp in Koto.
Here is the point we should checked our restricted permit in check point before we entry this area. Trail is very quite in jungle 700m gradually up then descent 20m then ascent to Meta, we should take pack during this day and overnight at tea house in normal basis. Or we could have overnight stay at Dharamsala also according to the situation and interest.
Today’s trek is on the uphill trail along the small river until we reach Meta which is temporary winter settlement place for the local inhabitants of Nar. Then continue journey through juniper forests to arrive at Kayang. During the trek, you great mountain views.
After breakfast, we trek on steeply downhill trail till we reach river then follow the trail along the river that runs through scenic canyons and gorges to reach Phu gate which is entrance for the three villages of Phu.
Today, most of the trail runs downhill and passes through many suspension bridges and streams to reach Mahendra Pul, taking almost 4 hours. During the trek we also cross the high suspension bridge over the gorge of Lapche River to arrive at Mahendrapul for overnight stay.
After breakfast, most of the today’s trekking will be on steeply uphill path that crosses several Buddhist stupas to reach Nar village. During the trek, enjoy the spectacular vision of the Pisang peak with other snow covered peaks.
Today’s trek continues to the Yak Kharka nestled on the height of 4400 meters from the sea level. During the trek, we cross river and enjoy the scenery of the diverse vista and snowy peak Him Chuli and many more.
After breakfast, we precede the trekking journey on the downhill trail until we cross Lapse Khola then trek on ascending trail to set the tent for overnight stay.
Today's path leads over a steep moraine. After some slope crossings, we leave the Lapse Khola valley behind us and continue our way through a stony high valley to the today's stage destination, which lies below the Teri La pass.
We cross the highest pass Teri La pass at the elevation of 5595 meters from sea level following the trail along Lapsa Khola at first part then climb up to a high camp before crossing the pass. We have also opportunity to engross on the majestic views of the Purbang Himal and the dry plateau of the Mustang from the top of Terila pass then trek towards steep downwards to reach Pasphu Khola foe camping stay.
We have a long day of downhill but still with several climbs to negotiate tributary streams. Today we reach Yakpa in the Upper Kali Gandaki Valley and Stay overnight in camp.
Finally, after a small pass crossing, we enjoy a breathtaking view of Mustang. A long descent and we reach Tange, where we set up our camp.
At first part of the trek we take steep climb to reach highlands of the Mustang then descend to arrive at Dhechyang Khola. Finally we reach Yara gaon for overnight stay crossing the Kali Gandaki River.
Descending to the Kali Gandaki River we cross to the western bank and make a gradual ascent to Lo-Manthang, the capital of Mustang.
Explore the forbidden kingdom Lo- manthang which lively with Lowa culture, art, craft, monasteries, mani walls, unraveled and craved caves and pure tradition and festivals.
Today’s trek takes you through the western foothills and up and down winding trails to the small village of Lo Gekar. While may seem an insignificant little village it actually has what is thought to be the oldest Buddhist Gompa or monastery in Nepal and Tibet. This fact attests to the significance of the hidden the Mustang region in bye gone eras. After some time exploring the monastery and learning some of its history it is time continue down the valley to Ghami.
Drive to Jomsom (2670m.) via Kagbeni (2800m), about 5hrs drive overnight stay in trekking lodge B.L.D (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Early in the morning, fly to Pokhara, and fly to Kathmandu
Free day in Kathmandu (This day can be used if incase of Bad weather)
Recommended equipment list: Trekkers need to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. Some items of equipment are available for hire from us such as a Down Jacket
Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.
Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trekking trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.
Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons), door lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare batteries, charger, lip salve, gaiters.
Other items: Insect repellent, toilet articles, diary, toilet roll, laundry soap, wet ones, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, memory cards, chargers and personal medical kit.
